MN8 Energy is one of the largest independent solar energy and energy storage owner-operators in the U.S., serving enterprise customers with clean energy and complementary solutions, such as battery storage and EV Charging, to enable an electrified, decarbonized world. Originally founded inside of Goldman Sachs in 2017, our fleet has grown to nearly 3-gigawatts of solar, including 850 projects across 27 states, and over 270 megawatts of battery storage projects, with each project tailored to achieve the bold decarbonization targets and goals of our more than 200 blue-chip customers. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:

MN8 Energy is seeking an energetic and talented intern to join our Operational Excellence team for a 10-week summer program. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on process improvement projects in the energy industry and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. This internship is ideal for rising Industrial and Systems Engineering juniors or seniors, with a keen interest in sustainable energy and a desire to learn from industry experts.

As the Operational Excellence Intern, you will:

• Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in renewable energy.
• Collect and analyze data to contribute insights in support of ongoing process improvement efforts.
• Support process mapping sessions and Lean Six Sigma project(s).
• Conduct robotic process automation (RPA) activities through MS Power Automate or other.
• Assist in the preparation of MS Power BI reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for improving existing processes or developing new solutions.
• Work closely with mentors and team members to enhance your understanding of the energy industry.
• Attend team meetings and contribute actively to discussions.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

• Current enrollment in the second year or higher of an Industrial Engineering undergraduate program, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Passion for the renewable energy industry
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
