Asset Management Intern

SUMMARY:

MN8 Energy is one of the largest independent solar energy and energy storage owner-operators in the U.S., serving enterprise customers with clean energy and complementary solutions, such as battery storage and EV Charging, to enable an electrified, decarbonized world. Originally founded inside of Goldman Sachs in 2017, our fleet has grown to nearly 3-gigawatts of solar, including 850 projects across 27 states, and over 270 megawatts of battery storage projects, with each project tailored to achieve the bold decarbonization targets and goals of our more than 200 blue-chip customers. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:

MN8 Energy is seeking an energetic and talented intern to join our Asset Management team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, gain hands-on experience in the energy industry, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates with a keen interest in sustainable energy and a desire to learn from industry experts.

 

As the Asset Management Intern, you will:

  • Support ongoing aspects of commercial, technical, and financial management.
  • Analyze technical and financial data and contribute insights to drive operational improvements and maximize asset performance.
  • Utilize and improve asset management monitoring tools and software.
  • Collaborate with different teams to support the ongoing functions of asset management and gain a broader understanding of key functions across the business (Accounting, Operations & Maintenance, Engineering, Treasury, Accounting, Revenue, etc.).
  • Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in renewable energy.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for improving existing processes or developing new solutions.
  • Work closely with mentors and team members to enhance your understanding of the energy industry.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute actively to discussions.

 

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Finance).
  • Passion for the renewable energy industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
