About the Internship:

MN8 Energy is seeking an energetic and talented Summer Accounts Payable Intern to join our Centralized Accounting team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, gain hands-on experience in the energy industry, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates with a keen interest in sustainable energy and a desire to learn from industry experts.

As the Accounts Payable Intern, you will:

• Support the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices for PO and non-PO based invoices.
• Review required documentation for vendor onboarding including creation of vendor accounts in the system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary approvals and documentation for payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies and issues promptly.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and build positive relationship with suppliers.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation and reporting.
• Analyze data and contribute insights to support ongoing projects.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for improving existing processes or developing new solutions.
• Engage with the accounting, finance, operations teams to enhance understanding of the accounting profession and energy industry.
• Attend team meetings and contribute actively to discussions.

Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business).
• Passion for the renewable energy industry
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
