Technical Due Diligence Analyst

SUMMARY:

MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Boca Raton, Florida and Madrid.

 

What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like

  • As part of the Deal Team, support Due Diligence Managers (DDM) through the Due Diligence (DD) process and track progress and schedule throughout.
  • Interact with 3rd Party Advisors during DD and support the DDMs in the management of the different due diligence work streams.
  • Evaluate seller provided documentation and translate into critical opportunity/project level data for intake into MN8 management platform. Documentation includes technical documents, contracts, and permits.
  • Gather and evaluate data from public and non-public sources to support the evaluation and characterization of projects on MN8’s platforms.
  • Manage folder and data structure, and data room access control for all stakeholders.
  • Ensure MN8 data management platform is kept up to date with key project information, dates, and status.
  • Assist in analysis of drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation for projects’ adherence to external and internal requirements and coordinate with the internal Engineering team.
  • Help coordinate constructability reviews during the estimating process.
  • Support efforts for value engineering and risk analysis, qualifications and assumptions for project bid estimates, and cost comparisons/reconcile with previous estimates.
  • Assist with the handoff or onboarding of newly acquired projects/portfolios to downstream MN8 groups.
  • Support with project management and process definition and updates.
  • Support with project management infrastructure set up and maintenance as needed.
  • Support internally originated opportunities such as battery retrofits, new technologies or asset performance enhancement through the Due Diligence stage.
  • Evaluate, develop and integrate knowledge or tools for new technologies that complies with MN8’s commitment to decarbonization.

 

How you know if you’re a great fit for this role

  • Entry level – 2 year of experience in the renewable energy industry with good understanding of technical characteristics.
  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Electrical, Energy, Environmental, Industrial Management or a related Engineering field.
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English required.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word.
  • Experience with VDR interfaces such as Box, Firmex, Intralinks, Merril DataSite One, etc.
  • Very organized and able to multitask effectively.
  • Good communicator both written and verbal skill.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and determination to complete difficult projects.
  • Highly developed sense of professional ethics.
  • Ability to work both on a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy.
  • Commitment to quality.
  • Working knowledge of Smartsheet, PVsyst, HOMER, a plus.
  • Working knowledge of key document types: Engineering, accounting, contracts, permits a plus.
