Job Duties: Senior Manager with MN8 Energy LLC in New York, NY. Provide comprehensive analysis on North America power markets across multiple Independent System Operators (ISO) to support investment decision making. Design, implement and maintain a revenue optimization model for Battery Storage Energy System (BESS), and work with scheduling coordinators to execute strategies. Build back-testing framework in Python to identify, analyze and provide suggestions for utility-scale Solar Generation assets and Battery Storage market operations in order to boost merchant revenue. Manage wholesale power markets data and build tools to automate data processing and standard metrics calculation to price structured deals. Responsible for monitoring the market performance of Battery Storage asset, providing variance analysis and weekly P&L reports to senior management team. Actively participate and assist in meetings with prospective renewable asset developers and owners to evaluate investment opportunities using both qualitative and quantitative metrics. Support the due diligence on potential investment opportunities, focusing on the long-term revenue forecast and financial risk management. Conduct research on new markets and technology opportunities and prepare investment memoranda for presentation to the Renewable Energy Investment Committee. Support new business development activities such as RFP through fundamental researches on regions and market protocols.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics or related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: alternative investments in energy industry; mathematical modelling and derivative pricing to provide revenue forecast of merchant assets; programming in Python to implement mathematical modelling for complicated optimization and calculation and to automate market data processing; working with real power assets; improving data processes and creating efficiencies for complex analysis; and commodity markets with a focus on US power. Must have two (2) years of experience with: utilizing MS Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, to run market research and provide analysis to senior management.

The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $230,000/year – $270,000/year.
