As the Project Development Manager, you will:

• · Lead the development of solar and energy storage projects, managing the process from site identification, permitting, and interconnection through to financial close.
• · Oversee all aspects of project development, including land acquisition, environmental assessments, permitting, interconnection agreements, and regulatory compliance.
• · Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• · Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, finance, legal) to ensure all project development activities are aligned with MN8 Energy’s strategic goals.
• · Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including landowners, utilities, regulatory agencies, and local communities.
• · Facilitate communication and coordination across all project stakeholders to address issues and keep projects on track.
• · Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• · Work with environmental and regulatory experts to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project development.
• · Represent MN8 Energy in meetings with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to advocate for project approvals.
• · Work closely with the finance team to develop project financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
• · Support the negotiation of project contracts, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), interconnection agreements, and other key project documents.
• · Monitor project financial performance and implement strategies to optimize project economics.
• · Lead and mentor a team of project developers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
• · Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project development team.
• · Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and expertise of team members.
• · Identify potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and feasibility, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• · Ensure that all project activities adhere to MN8 Energy’s risk management policies and procedures.
• · Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management.

· Our ideal candidate will have:

• · Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• · Minimum of 3 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar and/or energy storage projects.
• · Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to financial close.
• · Strong understanding of the U.S. energy market, including permitting, interconnection, and regulatory processes.
• · Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• · Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• · Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• · Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• · Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
