Position overview:

The Operational Excellence Manager is a Process Improvement Specialist with 10+ years of applied experience in business improvement methods and tools including but not limited to Process Management, Lean Six Sigma and Change Management, with a strong data-driven orientation, bias for action, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, knowledge of tools like Minitab, R, Python, Power Automate, and preferably have an Industrial Engineering degree, experience in the renewable energy industry, and Change Management certifications.

 

As the Operational Excellence Manager, you will:

  • Lead and execute process improvement initiatives using the appropriate methods and tools, including Lean, DMAIC methodology, and others.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement business improvement and optimization opportunities, including process mapping, KPI/dashboard definition, root-cause analysis, and process automation.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex end-to-end process improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize business improvement tools and methods to analyze data and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Develop and maintain continuous improvement processes throughout the organization: Lessons Learned, Change Management, etc.
  • Scope and facilitate Kaizen workshops.
  • Lead, facilitate and support training, coaching, and mentoring of teams in Continuous Process Improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Foster a Continuous Improvement mindset and culture, and lead by example.

 

 

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • Demonstrated experience of 7+ years in the successful execution of DMAIC projects.
  • Demonstrated experience of 10+ years in process improvement, KPI definition, and successful execution of business improvement projects.
  • Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma is required.
  • Data-driven orientation and the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful insights to improve the business.
  • Able to distill complex problems into actionable steps and easy to understand conclusions
  • A commercial mindset with strong financial acumen to adequately prioritize business needs.
  • Customer focus and strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Visio, Power BI and Minitab required, and experience with Power Automate, R and Python strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Change Management (ADKAR or other), certification preferred.
  • Preferably holds a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, and relevant experience in the renewable energy sector
  • High level of English proficiency, both spoken and written.
