ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are looking for an ambitious Accountant to provide support to the accounting operations department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of an international team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the group’s accounting data, systems, and processes.

Execution of accounting closing tasks and preparing financial statements for the assigned renewable energy portfolios within the MN8 Group, under American accounting policies (US GAAP) and SOX control environment, are a large part of the accountant’s day-to-day work.

The position is also responsible for the proper application of cash receipts from our solar off-takers. This would include reviewing and posting incoming receipts and reviewing each for payment discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.

The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.

As the Accountant, you will:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures
• Prepare account & bank reconciliations
• Calculate and record accruals and provisions
• Review and analyze Intercompany transactions
• Analyze variances between Actual data and the budget
• Prepare quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements
• Cooperate with other departments & external auditors
• Ensure that the payment completely closes the related open receivable
• Communicate with off-taker/Customer to resolve payment related issues, including collection
• Process payments across various bank accounts

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as an accountant. Experience in the renewable energy field is a plus but not required
• Fluent English
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• High ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
• Bachelor or Graduate degree in business administration, economy, accounting, or a related field
