Project Development Manager – M&A

Summary:

MN8 Energy is one of the largest independent solar energy and energy storage owner-operators in the U.S., serving enterprise customers with clean energy and complementary solutions, such as battery storage and EV Charging, to enable an electrified, decarbonized world. About the position:

MN8 Energy LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Developer and Strategic Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in advancing our BESS projects nationwide, leading strategic M&A initiatives, and contributing to the development of our continuously evolving development strategy.

 

As the Project Development Manager, you will focus on several initiatives:

BESS Development and Integration:

· Lead the development and integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across the country.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize BESS solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards.

· Conduct thorough analysis and testing to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and performance of BESS installations.

 

Strategic M&A:

· Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities aligned with MN8 Energy’s strategic objectives.

· Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment, to assess the viability and impact of potential acquisitions.

· Drive the negotiation and execution of M&A transactions, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve successful outcomes.

 

Strategy Development:

· Contribute to the formulation and execution of MN8 Energy’s corporate strategy, with a focus on identifying growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive dynamics.

· Conduct industry research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

· Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior management, leveraging data-driven insights and business acumen.

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.

· Proven experience in software development, with expertise in backend technologies, cloud computing, and data analytics.

· Strong understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and renewable energy technologies.

· Demonstrated track record in executing strategic M&A transactions, including deal sourcing, due diligence, and integration.

· Excellent analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

· Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

· Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
