Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Systems and Intelligence Specialist

Position Overview:

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Systems and Intelligence Specialist represents the intersection of EHS expertise and digital transformation, serving as the architect of our data-driven approach to safety and environmental management at MN8. This innovative position combines technical EHS knowledge with advanced analytics capabilities to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive program effectiveness and strategic decision-making.

This specialized role requires someone who can command EHS systems and intelligence through technology solutions at MN8.  The position demands an individual who can setup and leverage data analytics, automate systems, and leverage artificial intelligence to drive practical EHS outcomes.

 

As the EHS Systems and Intelligence Specialist, you will:

  • Oversee the EHS Management Information System (EHS MIS) ensuring optimal configuration, performance, and integration with business systems.
  • Maintain system integrity and security, identifying opportunities for enhancement and automation.
  • Manage features including Record Keeping, Performance Metrics, Subcontractor Management, Equipment Management, Environmental Impact Assessments, Waste Reporting, Incident & Injury Management, Risk Assessment Tools, EHS Permit Compliance, Inspections, Communications, and Workforce Orientations.
  • Launch, iterate, and translate system data into actionable intelligence.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated analytics approaches to support proactive EHS management.
  • Create meaningful metrics and predictive models from complex data sets.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights that drive performance improvement.
  • Create intuitive dashboards and reports for all organizational levels.
  • Ensure reporting tools balance clarity with detail to support informed decision-making.
  • Communicate EHS performance data effectively to drive appropriate actions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (EHS Program Specialist, Business Managers, IT, Operations, Reporting Teams) to align cadences, content, and automation.
  • Ensure technology solutions meet operational needs and maximize value.
  • Establish and maintain data standards, integrity, and security controls.
  • Balance accessibility with compliance and data protection requirements.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and innovate EHS data management practices.
  • Contribute to evolving systems and analytics capabilities in line with technological advancements and changing EHS requirements.
  • Drive innovation and support data-driven decision-making in pursuit of EHS excellence at MN8.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience combining EHS and systems management, with demonstrated success in implementing and optimizing EHS management information systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Computer Science, Business Intelligence or related field is required.
  • Certifications in relevant software platforms and data analytics are highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills and thorough understanding of EHS processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and project management skills.
  • Ability to balance technical capabilities with practical EHS needs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel 20–30% domestically and internationally to support system implementation and user training.
  • Collaborate with MN8 locations and contractor teams on-site.
