Operations Analyst

Location: Madrid, Spain

About the position:

You will play an instrumental role in the regulatory onboarding and ongoing reporting compliance of renewable energy assets in a variety of project stages and types. You can expect to be given significant cross-functioning responsibilities to manage such reporting for various federal, state, and local agencies; while being exposed to industry leading toolsets on high-profile transactions. To be successful as an operations analyst you should be strategically minded with strong data analytical and problem-solving skills, eager to collaborate across teams to support compliance/regulatory and operational tasks of different portfolios. This role will be based out of Madrid.

 

As the Operations Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with and drive internal and external stakeholders supporting regulatory onboarding and registration of both construction and operating assets.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ongoing reporting obligations for various federal, state, and local agencies (EIA, FERC, NERC, etc.)
  • Establish and manage relationships with regulatory project counterparties.
  • Design and implement new tools and processes for efficient and accurate reporting through data analytics practices.
  • Understand basic accounting principles to ensure proper regulatory reporting.

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  •  Minimum of one year of experience in data analysis or related roles.
  • Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or otherwise relevant bachelors’ degree.
  • Basic understanding of operation, management, and financing of solar PV or other renewable assets.
  • Ability to work with large datasets.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office and open mindedness to learn new software platforms relating to photovoltaic asset management.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excels in planning and organization of tasks and can execute on plans.
  • Highly driven, motivated and self-starter that excels in a team environment.
  • Strong disposition to follow corporate rules and guidelines.
  • Flexibility to perform other tasks that are not part of the position’s core responsibilities.
