Senior Advisor – Fleet Accounts & Strategic Partnerships (Contractor)

This is a Contract position.

 

Position Overview: 

You will play an instrumental role on our fast-growing distributed energy solutions (DES) team focused on establishing key partnerships in the freight and logistics space to catalyze business development opportunities, including direct sales, channel partnerships, alliances, and other commercial prospects. You will be given significant responsibility in establishing go-to-market strategy, building relationships with key customer accounts, and be exposed to high-profile transactions within a growing, entrepreneurial business unit.

 

As the Contract, Senior Advisor, you will: 

  • Develop commercial partnerships with key stakeholders in freight / logistics including shipping companies, freight forwarders, fleet management companies (FMCs), commercial vehicles OEMs, ports, and terminal operators, in order to drive decarbonized freight infrastructure opportunities. 
  • Develop relationships with Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) and key stakeholders to accelerate demand in decarbonized goods movement. 
  • Create and execute a strategy to drive demand for MN8’s Charging-as-a-Service (CaaS) solutions at both customer facilities and shared charging hubs 
  • Work with trade associations and advocacy organizations to stimulate BCO and sustainability minded product company interest in decarbonized freight. 
  • Fulfilling a lead role in the business development organization on developing strategies, executing on opportunities, and mentoring junior team members. 
  • Develop and implement best practices for decarbonized freight operations and fleet growth that reward and incentivize early movers and industry leaders. 

 

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) 
  • +10 years’ experience in the logistics, transportation, or freight industries with progressive seniority in the field; existing relationships with decision makers in fleet management is critical to this role 
  • Experience leading partnerships and coalitions and successfully working with a broad set of stakeholders. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Flexible, creative and entrepreneurial mindset  
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments 
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people 
  • Proven ability to close deals 
  • Experience in project finance modeling and structuring is a plus, but not required 
  • Experience in solar, battery storage, and other decarbonization technology is a plus, but not required
