Job Duties: Project Engineer, Manager with MN8 Energy LLC in Delray Beach, Florida. Manage project engineering aspects of solar C&I projects, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within engineering budget, and to the company internal standards. Lead the design and engineering efforts of Commercial & Industrial, and utility-scale solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects, ensuring compliance with the company and industry standards and best practices. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Project Executions, Asset Management & Operations, Due Diligence, Performance, Development, Procurement and Finance, to ensure all aspects of the project are coordinated within the organization. Design and engineer commercial, industrial, and utility scale solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects. Design optimization for early-stage development opportunities. Review technical documentation such as Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contract, equipment specifications, warranties, studies, amongst others, during due diligence and construction stage. Review and provide inputs based on due diligence of critical documentation pertaining to Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Environmental aspect of the PV project. Coordinate with Owner’s Engineer and Independent Engineer during design and construction phase. Support driving the projects in due diligence and in construction to completion per schedule. Perform research on new technologies and assist in identifying solutions for optimization. Assist in reviewing production analysis for PV systems. Support technical review of inputs to financial models. Work with equipment vendors on technical design, procurement, and other related items. Review construction submittals pertaining to latest codes and standards. Develop detailed equipment specifications and site assessment and analysis. Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, contractors, and other external stakeholders.

 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering field in Renewable Energy, plus three (3) years in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with each of the following: construction and design process in building solar projects; designing commercial and small utility scale PV projects; working with National Electric Code to design and review project drawings as per code requirements; working with PVsyst and Energy modeling tools to support in energy modeling analysis; working between different project stages and understanding various development and construction stages; AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar design software and medium voltage engineering, and project interconnection and utility requirements including for interconnection of renewable resource to the grid at distribution and transmission level. Prior experience must include one (1) year with each of the following: Working with multiple stakeholders of different scope and background and engineering principles applications including Structural, Civil, and Electrica; reviewing technical and due diligence documentation to understand the project existing progress and evaluate any red flags or technical discrepancies; communicating between different counterparties involved during engineering phase to coordinate with multiple subject matter experts and stakeholders of other backgrounds to successfully communicate technical needs and requirements.

 

Travel required approximately 10% of the time. All travel expenses reimbursed by the Firm.
