Compensation and Benefits Analyst – Contract

Position Overview: 

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing MN8 Energy’s compensation and benefits programs. This role will ensure that our compensation structure is competitive, equitable, and aligned with industry standards while administering benefits programs to promote employee satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of compensation practices, and experience managing benefits plans in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As the Compensation and Benefits Analyst, you will: 

  • Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive salary structures and job classifications. 
  • Administer and refine salary programs, including merit increases, bonuses, and equity compensation. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal compensation policies, external regulations, and best practices. 
  • Oversee the enrollment, administration, and communication of company-sponsored benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and other employee perks. 
  • Work closely with benefits vendors to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services. 
  • Analyze and report on benefits utilization trends and employee satisfaction with benefits offerings. 
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and concerns. 
  • Develop, maintain, and track key metrics related to compensation and benefits programs, such as compensation ratios, benefit costs, and employee participation rates. 
  • Prepare reports for HR leadership, management, and finance on compensation and benefits trends, budgets, and projections. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding compensation and benefits programs (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, ACA, ADA). 
  • Assist with audits and prepare documentation as needed for legal and regulatory compliance. 
  • Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns related to compensation and benefits promptly and professionally. 
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of compensation and benefits programs. 

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (required). 
  • 3-5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, and HR operations. 
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, benefits administration, and relevant employment laws and regulations. 
  • Experience with compensation analysis tools and benefits administration software. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and trends. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex topics to non-experts. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Certification in compensation (e.g., CCP) or benefits (e.g., CEBS) is a plus.
