Overview

The Senior Manager will be based in our Boca Raton, Florida office and will report to the Director of Shared Services. The Senior Manager will partner with AP, AR, Lease Accounting, and Insurance Claims. They will work closely with the Managers of each Shared Services subteam, as well as Project Accounting, Asset Management, Technical Accounting, and FP&A, amongst others. The Senior Manager will be directly responsible for driving change, foreseeing and eliminating issues via control design, as well as to independently identify and lead their own initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the various groups within Shared Services (currently 8 headcount across AP, AR, Lease Accounting, and Insurance Claims)
• Ensure control and supervisory functions are being appropriately performed across the group
• Report related metrics to direct manager, VP of Financial Operations, and the C-Suite
• Continuously improve existing processes to provide scalability and allow for ongoing growth
• Partner with senior members across the firm to identify cross vertical gaps in controls, processes, and implementation plans
• Development and implementation of risk and control training

Requirements

• 6-8 years of prior experience, with 2+ years of people management
• Experience in risk and control design and/or AP/AR functions
• Proven history of high performance
• Proven ability to self-direct and own a scope of work
• Fast learner with the ability to become a technical expert over time
• Exemplary critical thinking
• Renewables industry and ASC 842 Lease Accounting experience is a plus
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as within a team environment
• Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed
• Experience with Yardi is a plus
