Licensing & Compliance Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Licensing and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that MN8 Energy has obtained all local, state, and federal licenses required to provide O&M services in each location. While it is expected that the Licensing and Compliance Manager will hold many of the licenses on behalf of the company, this role will be responsible for assisting in the training and any other employee who may qualify for the required licenses. Additionally, this role will ensure that all license holders meet all Continuing Education hour requirements.

 

As the Licensing & Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Demonstrate integrity, initiative, and work ethic, as well as a commitment to safety and quality on all tasks assigned, on a continuous basis.
  • Complete all safety training as required by the company.
  • Ensure that operations and maintenance activities meet or exceed all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance activities meet or exceed contractual obligations. (e.g. performance and availability guarantees, preventive maintenance, reactive response times, landscape management, panel washes, non-conformity correction, etc.)
  • Continue to meet Key Performance Indicators by defining and refining policies and procedures through continuous improvement of all O&M License policies.
  • Coordinate with Regional Managers and field Supervisors to ensure that, where required, licensed journeymen are hired in appropriate ratios.
  • Ensure all outsourced O&M services are assigned to appropriately licensed contractors.
  • Ensure all Contractor, Master, Journeyman, etc. licenses are properly tracked and documented in the CMMS software.
  • Develop and implement strategies for obtaining licenses for new areas of operations.
  • Ensure all issues which need further investigation are escalated to Performance Engineering.
  • Work closely with the Legal Department to ensure all legal requirements are met to ensure all licenses remain active.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities may be determined by the manager.

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Must hold Electrical licenses in multiple states.
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word and CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of solar plant construction and comprehension of how onsite equipment interacts with the overall plant.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to drive a vehicle.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations of sound.
  • Required to have visual acuity which includes depth perception.
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

 

Other Requirements:

  • May be required to travel 25% of the time.
  • Required to work in office conditions.
  • Work in a fast-changing environment that may require quick decisions with limited processes and procedures.
