Director, Corporate Sales

Overview
You will play an instrumental role on the business development team, working to execute on strategies as part of our Business Development team. You will be given significant responsibility across the full deal lifecycle, and be exposed to high-profile transactions within a growing, entrepreneurial business.
Responsibilities
- Lead MN8’s efforts in outreach to large enterprise customers to understand their holistic renewable energy and sustainability needs
- Utilize a wide range of sources such as public statements, seminars, conferences, trade materials, and networking to understand and document key corporate renewable energy purchasing trends
- Effectively summarize these needs and proactively disseminate this information to key stakeholders within the business development, strategy, policy, and marketing teams
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop compelling products and solutions that address key industry needs
- Lead development of sales materials and pitch documents
- Originate, lead, and execute on corporate offtake contracts for renewable energy and/or storage for offsite solar and battery assets corresponding to open merchant positions in MN8’s portfolio of assets
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- 7-10 years of prior work experience with at least 5 years of renewable energy sales, energy procurement, or originating power purchase agreements, with specific focus on enterprise customers
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail; able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical information and strategic goals
- Proactive and forward-thinking attitude and creative problem-solving ability
- A motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstratable experience in effectively summarizing and disseminating key market information to effectively educate internal stakeholders and drive strategic decisions
- Energy trading, Energy modeling, or Project finance modeling experience is a plus, but not required
In New York City, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting ranges from $175,000 to $250,000. Within that range, individual compensation varies based on job-related factors including but not limited to experience and training, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
