Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst, Finance Risk Management is responsible for supporting the identification, evaluation, mitigation, and monitoring the Company’s credit risk. Develops credit risk management tools and practices to analyze and report on credit risks and to manage risks according to a financial risk management framework and relevant policies. Monitors the organization’s credit risk management policies, limits, and strategies and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency expectations, and strategic imperatives of the organization. Monitors and analyzes financial risks within the company’s business units and on a corporate basis.
As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will:
- Support the development, design and implementation credit risk monitoring process for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when credit risk events occur
- Assess metrics and monitoring procedures the organization has set to police credit risks
- Utilize analytical techniques and statistical analysis to develop and optimize credit risk strategies for portfolios to meet pre-defined goals
- Establish and implement systems to track and value individual counterparty and portfolio credit exposures and other risk metrics, as necessary
- Ensure risk and credit databases and systems are maintained and updated
- Provide financial and credit information on counterparties
- Work closely with marketers and developers to analyze, value and provide credit risk analysis around contractual obligations with off takers
- Perform ad-hoc data analytics as required
- Support the project management endeavors of the organization
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- Keen interest in the energy industry with emphasis on renewable energy
- Baccalaureate degree in Finance or a related quantitively discipline required, MBA a plus
- Minimum 3 years of financial expertise.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative skills
- Experience with energy trading systems
- Experience conducting data analytics on large data sets
- Fluent in using data analysis tools
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
- History of consistently delivering results in a timely manner
- Strong business acumen and service orientation
- Must have demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
- Responsive; able to integrate and balance priorities, work activities and resources for the benefit of multiple key stakeholders
- Active learner – able to enhance personal, professional and business growth through new knowledge and experiences; pushes the organization to learn from other industries’ standards and practices
- 1 years in energy risk management is preferred; risk management certification preferred
